Sex with an Alien: A NoGo?

This is an issue that is often addressed.

Sex with an alien is practiced in most cases in the context of an abduction, mostly involuntarily and the alien is then the active part, to express it carefully. Scientific research, as far as it deals with this topic at all, calls this “interaction” unconscious sexual desires, which manifest themselves in the context of sleep paralysis. It is interesting to note that the drug treatment is carried out with tricyclic antidepressants. However, this only happens if the problem of paralysis cannot otherwise be controlled. It is worthwhile to have a look at the videos (with all scepticism!) of the affected persons on YouTube.

Abductions
If one takes a closer look at the problem of abductions, it becomes clear that these visits (bedroom visitors) and abductions seem to be related to paralysis. On the other hand, there is also the problem that there is no evidence that a visit or kidnapping really took place (this is my information booth today. But I will do more research). >Here < an article from the English Wikipedia.

PTSD
What remains of the visits or abductions in the vast majority of cases is an unspecified or definable post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). If the abduction victims are hypnotised, some incredible experiences are reported. Some victims remember their experiences after a certain period of time. But the PTSD manifests itself in the usual manifestations of the affected persons: Dark anxiety, the feeling of being at the mercy of others and helplessness, to name but a few. The fear that the strangers, to call them that, might come back and repeat themselves, is also concise. Those affected report that even the presence of other people in the bedroom does not prevent the “visitors” from coming to the victims.

Let us assume that it is really the case that the phenomenon of the Bedroom-Visitor is real, then sleep paralysis can be regarded as a prerequisite for a “successful visit” or a kidnapping, because with all(!) kidnappings, even from the car, it is reported that there is paralysis with full consciousness when the “strangers” approach the victim. But as already said, I will deal with this in another detailed article.

My story also deals with the topic of “sex”. As I already wrote in another article in this blog, I’m interested in whether the story provides a situation in which my protagonists can’t help it. Apart from the fact that sex with an alien could be complicated in itself, the question of why arises here as well. Why should they have sex? For pleasure? Out of boredom? Or actually, because they like each other at least, if not love each other? Can an earthling love an alien? Or an alien can love an earthling? I find an extremely interesting question, which leads in its consequence from the stick to the stick…

Intelligence immanent?
Well, I have described my protagonist as a being which (in my opinion) contains human qualities: She can laugh, she can cry, she communicates. I think that feelings like love and hate, homesickness, amusement and anger are basically intelligent immanent. These are qualities that people, but also (at least in restrictions) animals, have mastered. What qualities does a human being possess, but not an animal? Play? Do not laugh. This is also (rudimentarily) done by animals. Give your cat some table tennis balls…

No kidding. I actually thought about not letting my protagonists play a game of human-annoyance-you in a scene, and I also imagined that the principle of the joy of harm is deeply human, i.e. in the winning situation one is happy, the other is annoyed. It was funny in principle, and I had already plotted the scene, but I found out that it doesn’t fit into the structure of the story, it’s too short for that. Too bad actually.

But back to sex with an alien. It’s difficult to put something like that into a chapter, but I have an idea. As a result of the “strangeness” of my protagonist the sex is a real challenge for my protagonist and maybe not very pleasant.
